Cosy South Coast Cottage
South Coast cottages should be modern, cosy and practical and Old Town Cottage certainly ticks all of those boxes.
Eastbourne's characterful Old Town area is only around a 15-minute walk from the town centre, yet has a lovely community feel with some great independent pubs and cafes.
The Lamb Inn and the The Rainbow are well worth a visit for classic British pub food (with the latter boasting a beer garden - perfect for those warm summer evenings!) and the Love All café for a selection of delicious cakes.
Take a stroll through Motcombe Gardens or Gildredge Park, ideal for families with a children's playground, large playing fields and tennis courts.
Central Eastbourne offers a great shopping experience, with the Beacon Centre for your usual high street brands and the Little Chelsea area for quirky independent shops and restaurants. Head to the promenade for traditional seaside fun including fish and chips on the Pier, a wander along the clean, pebble beaches or perhaps exploring rock pools at low tide.
For those looking for invigorating countryside walks, the South Downs National Park offers unbeatable clifftop and coastal routes with breathtaking views including the Seven Sisters Cliffs, Cuckmere River and Beachy Head Lighthouse.
This South Coast cottage is also within easy reach of the train station with regular services to Hastings, Bexhill, London Victoria, Lewes and Brighton.
Set on a quiet street in a delightful Victorian terrace, Old Town Cottage has been modernised throughout, making it a fantastic base for those looking for short term accommodation in Eastbourne.
There are two bedrooms – the master with a kingsize bed and a second bedroom with a small double, comfortably sleeping up to three adults or two adults and two small children. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and overlooks the 12th century St Mary's Church.
Downstairs, the open plan living area feels spacious and light and leads out on to a private south-facing rear terrace with Astro Turf and outdoor table and chairs.
There is a comfy L-shaped sofa in the lounge facing the Smart TV where you can access all of the regular streaming services including Netflix and BBC iPlayer (don't forget your log in details).
The kitchen is modern and stylish with all you’ll need for a self-catering break including a fridge freezer, oven, 2-ring hob, microwave, toaster and washing machine as well and a Nespresso coffee machine and the usual pots, pans and utensils.
There is free roadside parking along Lower Road and the surrounding roads and WiFi is provided along with regular towels and linen (please bring your own beach towels). Additional linen and towels are provided for stays of two weeks or more.

Comfortably compact.
The house was well thought out and very clean. Our five week stay was comfortable and pleasant with good support from Exclusively Eastbourne. The Road is a quiet cul de sac with easy parking and friendly neighbours.
Great place to stay, in the quaint old town part of Eastbourne.
Lovely little cottage, felt right at home!
Nice, airy and light holiday home which has seen little use since its recent rebuild. There is a picture book in the living telling the story of this transformation. Tasteful, with respect for the history of the house, with its future role in mind. This means: a very light and roomy living. A fairly small, but well appointed open kitchen. The stairs to the first floor lead to a good size shower room with WC and washbasin. All very well thought out and with excellent fittings. Two good size bedrooms, each sleeping two with good comfortable beds and ample cupboard room. The house is easy to keep clean and all materials you might need are there. The property is the one but last house on a dead end street, no traffic. The street is very quiet indeed, you'd hear the odd seagull, and that is about it. Carl & Sarah are very easy to reach and we found them very helpful, professional and kind. We wish them and the owners every success with this rather lovely holiday home!
Great place in Eastbourne.
The cottage is beautifully renovated, with thoughtful details and good facilities. For three people just right. The area is quiet and a supermarket and nice restaurants/Cafe / bars are within easy walking distance. By bus, you are in the center of Eastbourne in 5 minutes.
Smoking is not permitted in this property. No pets permitted. Minimum age of lead guest 25+.
There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the morning of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on before you depart. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonably messy or dirty state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
